The Armed Forces of Ukraine assessed the threat of Russians capturing Pokrovsk by the end of autumn
The situation in the Pokrovsk area has remained extremely difficult for many years.
This was reported on Kyiv24 by Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Myroslav Hay.
"A year ago, the risk of Pokrovsk being captured was already being discussed. However, for a year now, the enemy cannot capture it. Yes, the enemy achieves some tactical successes, reaches our logistical routes, and has been controlling certain areas for over a year using FPV drones and artillery — this is a problem. But neither Pokrovsk, nor Chasiv Yar, nor Kostyantynivka have been successfully captured and effectively controlled by Russia for four years now," — Hay emphasized.
The officer noted that although his brigade is currently operating in another direction, he communicates with military friends who are near Pokrovsk and receives information from them about the situation.
"To claim that the Russians will be able to capture Pokrovsk this week, this month, or by the end of the fall, or that they will be able to radically change the strategic situation on the front — this is false, it does not correspond to reality. This is not the case at the moment," — stated Hay.
