The Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a clearance operation in Udachne, Donetsk region, and raised the Ukrainian flag

Ukrainian military conducted a cleanup operation in the village of Udachne in Donetsk region and raised the Ukrainian flag over the settlement.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The General Staff published information about the successful operation on the hottest sector of the front - the Pokrovsk direction.

"Cleanup of the village of Udachne in Donetsk region and raising the flag. Pokrovsk direction. Glory to Ukraine!" - the statement reads.

Currently, the military has not provided any further details.

The village is located in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region, approximately 6 km from the front line. It has become an important point on the railway line. Until 2024, the population of the village was around 300 people.

During the period of active hostilities, the village became a target of numerous shelling by Russian forces. In particular, on December 17, 2024, Russian troops shelled the village with artillery, resulting in four workers from a local mine being injured.
