DeepState confirms the presence of Russian troops in Kupyansk.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed that its forces control about half of Kupyansk. DS notes that the Russians "are making constant attempts to penetrate the city and are trying to secure at least the outskirts to increase their numerical presence for further advancement."

"In order to increase the likelihood of retaining positions in the city, the enemy seeks to capture the surrounding area, hence there are battles, including for the settlement of Myrove (formerly known as Myrne), which, along with Radkivka, is to become a concentration point for infantry," it is also stated in the report.

It is reported that Russian military personnel are changing into civilian clothes to infiltrate the city – both for propaganda purposes and to expand their foothold.

"In the fighters’ reports, there are concerns that at some point this could lead to undesirable consequences, but over time we will see how extensive the enemy’s plan was. Currently, active attempts are being made to storm with infantry groups, whose efforts are being countered by Ukrainian forces. In September, we will repeatedly talk about Kupyansk, as the enemy has come very close and is actively studying the weak spots, some of which have already been identified. And they begin to exploit their successes immediately," the report says.
