We want to end the war with a reliable peace: Zelenskyy shared details of the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing
The participants of the Coalition of the Willing share a common vision with Ukraine that Russia seeks to prolong the war, which necessitates increasing pressure on the Russian Federation through sanctions. In particular, the European Union is working on the 19th sanctions package, and Japan is preparing its own sanction measures.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram following the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.
"We share a common vision that Russia is doing everything to delay the negotiation process and continue the war. We need to increase support for Ukraine and intensify pressure on Russia. Currently, preparations are underway for the 19th EU sanctions package. Japan is also working on sanction measures," he wrote.
Zelenskyy noted that the meeting with leaders within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing took place both offline and online, with over 30 countries participating.
"All are united by a common desire to end this war with a reliable peace and lasting security. We discussed in detail the readiness of each country to contribute to ensuring security on land, at sea, in the air, and in cyberspace. We coordinated positions and discussed components of security guarantees. I am grateful to everyone for understanding that the main guarantee of security is a strong Ukrainian army," he stated.
The head of state expressed gratitude to everyone for their work, support for Ukrainians, and readiness to stand with Ukraine and help us protect lives.

"I would like to separately thank President Trump for all his efforts to end this war and for America’s readiness to continue supporting Ukraine," the President noted.
The President’s press service reported that the meeting was attended by President of Finland Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister of Belgium Bart De Wever, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof, Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and Special Representative of the President of the United States Stephen Witkoff.
Partners acknowledged the work done by army commanders and military officials regarding the practical framework. The leaders agreed that it is time to move to a political framework.
It was also noted at the meeting that the main guarantee of security is a strong Ukrainian army. Participants paid particular attention to the contribution each of the 35 countries is ready to make to ensure Ukraine’s security on land, at sea, in the air, and in cyberspace.
"Stephen Witkoff assured that the United States will also provide support on their part," the Office of the President stated.
In an online format, the meeting was joined by the presidents of Cyprus, Lithuania, Romania, prime ministers of Australia, Albania, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Greece, Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Canada, Latvia, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Sweden, Japan, the Federal Chancellor of Germany, the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, the Secretary General of NATO, the Vice President of Turkey, the Federal Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Austria, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland.
