On the Lyman direction, the enemy abandoned mechanized assaults – AFU

The enemy on the Lyman direction is massively deploying infantry to the positions, refraining from the active use of armored vehicles. Instead, combat vehicles are mostly used as artillery from hidden positions.

This was stated by the head of the communications department of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Maksym Bilousov.

"The complexity on the Lyman direction is that it is an onslaught of enemy manpower: there are a lot of them, and they emerge from different points. They can move at night, they can use anti-drone cloaks. But there are also groups that, for example, can act like sabotage and reconnaissance groups and infiltrate completely unnoticed. These are mostly well-trained infantrymen performing their individual tasks. Therefore, the complexity is precisely due to the amount of enemy manpower," emphasized Bilousov.

According to the head of the communications department of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy has almost stopped using mechanized assaults on the Lyman direction.

"Recently, our guys destroyed a tank found in hidden positions. In other words, the enemy has stopped using the equipment for movement, instead using it as artillery. He can, for example, position the equipment, strike, and immediately hide. Therefore, it is very important for us to destroy mechanized equipment of this type when the enemy hides it in shelters," added Bilousov.
