In the night leading up to September 30, units of the Special Operations Forces struck a radar station of the Russian S-400 "Triumf" anti-aircraft missile system in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the Special Operations Forces Command.

"Symbolically, the expensive enemy air defence system, which is also aimed at countering UAVs, was neutralized by SOF strike drones. The radar station serves as the ’eyes’ of the S-400 ’Triumph’ system. Without the observation and targeting element, the entire system loses its combat capability.

The SOF units continue to inflict significant damage on the enemy, accelerating its inability to conduct further combat operations," the statement from the SOF Command noted.
