Zelenskyy promised to investigate the reasons for the deaths during the downpour in Odesa

The reasons why many people died during the heavy rain at the end of September and the beginning of October in Odesa need to be clarified, and there is time for that.

The Ukrainian authorities will deal with this issue "consistently and fairly," stated the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a briefing.

"What to do with Odesa? Our city. And what to do with what happened? How many people died: simply drowned because of this water, because of what happened. What to do with it? How to treat this. Who is to blame...", said Zelenskyy.

According to the president, the Ukrainian authorities will deal with this issue "consistently and fairly."

"I want to tell you that everything needs to be done consistently and fairly. And we will also sort out the issue with Odesa," Zelenskyy emphasized.
