The information was confirmed by the Romanian battalion where the man served, noting that his death has not been confirmed and he may be in Russian captivity.

Romanian volunteer Adrian Viorel Jurca, known by the call sign "Blackfish," is officially considered missing in action during combat operations in eastern Ukraine. The last time he spoke with his sister was on August 29. Since then, contact with him has been lost. On October 9, his family was informed of his disappearance.

"Blackfish" served in the Ukrainian army for over a year. He initially joined the International Legion and later fought as part of the Third Assault Brigade. According to his sister, he decided to join the Ukrainian army due to the atrocities committed by Russians. Before the war, he worked in the IT sector and was involved in charity work, helping orphans and the elderly.
