Olya Polyakova demanded donations for the Armed Forces of Ukraine while vacationing in Monaco at a villa owned by Russians
A video featuring Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova, filmed at a party of Russian blogger Nika Belotserkovskaya (sentenced in absentia in Russia for discrediting the army), is being discussed online. Entry to this party cost 10,000 euros.
While "at Nika’s villa," Polyakova expressed dissatisfaction with those Ukrainians who "stopped worrying," hoping that Trump would end the war and stopped donating to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"Everyone relaxed and thinks that now Trump has come and the war will end, that there is no need to collect for anything. But it won’t end... People are fighting now, and we are all relaxing and waiting for Trump to come and create a miracle! He won’t do anything, not a miracle," Polyakova said.
Later, the author of the video - blogger-psychologist Nataliya Kholodenko, who also went to Monaco, explained that the entry to the party cost 10,000 euros, which went to charity, and participants of "meetings at Nika’s" donate large sums, "passing them directly to those in need."
This was her response to outraged comments following the publication of the video with Polyakova.
Under the post with the video, users began to write that it is inappropriate to demand that Ukrainians donate their last money while attending luxurious parties. After this, Kholodenko deleted the video with Polyakova and published a new post in which she emphasized that it doesn’t matter how the money is raised, the important thing is that it is "directed to the trenches." She urged "not to criticize those people who are doing such important and significant work."
